There are three things we ask of those who are pleased with what they are learning from us.

Pray
The first, and most important, of course, is that you would pray for our work. We ask that you would pray both that we will teach well and wisely, and also that such teaching will prove useful in helping to manifest the reign of Christ.

Tell
Second, you can tell others about our work. As with many other ministries, both good and bad, growth is often a function of others knowing that the ministry exists. We believe there are in fact hundreds of thousands of families out there who would not only benefit from what we are doing but who would recognize that they are benefitting. But they don’t even know we exist. That will happen most effectively not by marketing campaigns, but by word of mouth. Share a Basement Tape or a book with a friend. Subscribe them to Every Thought Captive. Arrange a conference. All these things help us help Christians to live more simple, separate, and deliberate lives for the glory of God and the building of His kingdom.

Give
Finally, we are a ministry that depends on the giving of God's people. A wise man once asked another, "How much ministry can you do with the million dollars?" The wise answer? "About a million dollars worth." While a million-dollar budget at this time seems like a pipe-dream, we agree that there is a relationship between how much money we bring in and how much teaching we get out. We hope and believe it is a high ratio, but it is still a ratio.

We send out EVERYTHING we produce to those who support us financially for as little as $50 a month. That includes all new Basement Tapes, each newly-released Sound Teaching series, every new book R.C. publishes, recordings of every new HSC conference, and any other teaching from R.C. or the HSC staff we can dig up, and of course, a subscription to Every Thought Captive.

The Highlands Study Center is exempt from federal income tax under §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. The Center is applying for IRS' recognition of its exemption, and expects to receive a favorable determination letter later this year. Because the IRS' recognition of the Center's exemption will be retroactively effective January 10, 2006, we have been advised that contributions to the Center are deductible for federal and state income tax purposes.
