Couples' Camp. As always, it was a pleasure and a privilege to host ten couples from around the country who came to benefit from three days of R.C's teaching on the family. This was our fifth camp and our first fall camp. The timing couldn't have been better weather-wise; the fall colors were at their peak, and the air was crisp. In addition to the teaching, the couples enjoyed a softball game and cookout on Thursday, and the first HSC Folk Dance on Friday.

We're thinking seriously about adding a third camp, this one in early April. Watch this space for details.

Dance. Yes, we had one, and oh, was it a fine time! More than 200 friends gathered to dance before the Lord last Friday. Not many of us knew much about folk dancing as we arrived, but that changed (for the better) over the course of the next two hours. Jonathan Daugherty is to be commended for taking an idea we've talked about for a long time and making it real. You'll find some photos here.

Breakfast. Imagine our surprise when we showed up for breakfast last Wednesday, only to find a sign on the door informing us that as of November 13, Bonnie's would be closing for good, so as to make way for a Blockbuster Video store. Progress inexorably moves forward, as must we, and so the topic of the conversation from now until then will probably be: where next? In the meantime, some photos to commemorate the transition.
